Detox To Retox

11

I don't know about you all, but after spring break I need a detox. My body is all kinds of messed up!Spring break definitely took a toll on my body. Between Whattaburger, McDonald's, alcohol, and the sun...my body has taken a beating. Here are six suggestions on how to detox your body and get back to feeling somewhat normal for the rest of the semester.
1. Drink water. I know over spring break you were searching hard for a water bottle when you woke up. Well now drink at least eight cups a day. It will help flush out the toxins.

2. Hit up the gym! Sit in the sauna and sweat out your spring break sins. And while you're there, just workout. Exercise is one of the top techniques to cleanse your body! The gym isn't only for before spring break! I know I need to work off my McDonald's meals and all the other junk I consumed. Living off Uncrustables, McDonald's and Easy Mac is no life to live.

3. Eat your leafy greens and those yummy fruits. Carrots, bananas, strawberries, oranges, avocados and asparagus will help get the job done. They provide your body with vitamin C, potassium and fiber. All the good things.

4. Cut out alcohol for a little bit. This one sucks, but try your best. Your liver will thank you. If you can manage to ale break from alcohol for a few days, it will help immensely.

5. Juice fasting and tea detox help! I recommend the tea detox.
6. Sleep! I guarantee everyone is sleep deprived. College alone will do that to you. Try and catch up on your sleep so your body can recharge!

These are just some general ideas to help you get back to 100 percent. And remember, detox so you can retox! Grand Prix is coming up...you need to rest up and refuel for that crazy week.
I know doing all six of these suggestions are excessive but if you try and do one or two, it can help you feel and function better.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
