Maybe you have a friend who you want to hang out with but they just always say no, despite having literally nothing to do and instead they just sleep their day away.

Or maybe you have a daughter or son who refuses to do anything and is to damn lazy to even get up to feed themselves.

Well, I am here to let you know that that is not always due to laziness.

Just because someone doesn't want to hang out like they normally do or because they never do things they are supposed to, means that they don't care about themselves or others.

It means that you should be paying more attention to them and noticing the symptoms of depression.

Of course, everyone's experience with depression is different and not everyone has felt or will feel the way that I did, but there are warning signs that you defiantly should be cognizant of.

Depression is way too common today, so it is important that we all know what to look for if we think that someone is going through it.

So if you know someone whom you think is just being lazy, maybe take a step back and evaluate his or her behavior. If you take the time out to see if they are OK and if something bigger is going on, you may even be able

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
