A Definitive Ranking Of Thanksgiving Foods

Let's be real, Thanksgiving is pretty awesome. You get to lounge at home and finally have a valid reason to eat as much as you usually do. But, we all know that some Thanksgiving essentials are clearly superior to others...

10. Jello

Why is this even a thing? I'm sorry Grandma but I will never accept you trying to make Jello salad a real Thanksgiving dessert.

9. Green Beans / Brussels Sprouts / Carrots

Yes, these are all different, but I figured we could just lump the veggies together and call it a day.

8. Cranberry Sauce

This tart game-player has never been a top contender. Some say it is the winner of the meal, but I usually just put in on the table for color.

7. Rolls

There is nothing better than a warm roll, but with all the other vital food options, why waste precious room in your stomach on this simple bread?

6. Yams

While this addition to the table brings color and is deliciously sweet, it lacks the qualities that may make it an essential item on your plate.

5. Stuffing

Great stuffing can make or break the Thanksgiving meal. This classic must make an appearance at the table.

4. Mashed Potatoes

My family once forgot mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving. I refused to attend the meal. Enough said.

3. Pumpkin Pie

There is no other acceptable dessert. The perfect pumpkin pie + whipped cream is the only proper ending to a Thanksgiving meal.

2. Gravy

You are simply required to put gravy on everything. If you don't have gravy on your plate, you are doing it wrong.

1. Turkey

The king of the table, turkey reigns at the top of the Thanksgiving food hierarchy. It even lulls you into that perfect post-dinner coma.

Get ready for a food-filled Thanksgiving and don't forget your fat pants.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
