The great and controversial housewives of Wisteria Lane. Life would be so boring without their endless meddling and drama. But although they all have faced their fare share of trying times, these housewives have sometimes been the cause for all the drama (some more than others). Read on to find out who is the strongest of them all.

5. Susan Mayer

Now here is the definition of a pushover. This housewife is completely incapable of living by herself. Remember when Karl left her and what a mess she became? Instead of standing up for herself and supporting her young daughter, she remained depressed for months and completely neglected her daughter. Julie, who was barely entering her teenage years, was more adult and mature than Susan. To add to Susan’s list of irresponsible actions, remember when she dragged Julie through all her troubles? Julie stalked Mike in season 1, accompanied Susan while she was following Mike and eventually even lost all faith in the idea of marriage because of Susan. Now this housewife definitely ranks low for me.

4. Bree van de Kamp

This housewife went through quite a tumultuous life. First, she was completely unsupportive of her children. She was too busy being a Barbie doll and perfecting her already perfect home to notice that her children were unhappy. Then when Andrew starting acting up, instead of comforting and talking to him she sent him away to a disciplinary boot camp! In addition to that, she was completely unaccepting of Andrew being gay and even called over a Reverend to try and change her son. Not only a bad parent, whenever life got tough for Bree, she leaned on her old friend, alcohol. Yes, instead of mustering up the courage to fight any challenge, she chose a different kind of courage: liquid.

3. Lynette Scavo

While Lynette is better than Susan and Bree, she is still not my favourite housewife. In the beginning, she had 4 kids even though she didn’t want them, she manipulated Tom to not accept a promotion because she was afraid he was going to be unfaithful and she didn’t even had the courage to tell her husband she wanted to back to work. Although Lynette was strong when she was diagnosed with cancer, she has been quite weak many times.

2. Edie Britt

Now here is a solid housewife. While Edie may have been a predator, she was strong. She was unapologetically herself and did what she wanted when she wanted.

1. Gabrielle Solis

Ah finally. The best housewife of them all. Gaby was strong, stood up for what she believed in and always got what she want. She stuck by Carlos even though he treated her so very awfully. Firstly, he was never home and just left her all day by herself. Secondly, he was extremely possessive and even beat up two men because he though they were having an affair with Gaby. Thirdly, he physically harmed his wife when he held her hand and forced her to sign a post nup she did’t want to sign. Fourthly (and probably the worst betrayal), he went back on his word. Before Carlos and Gaby got married, they agreed that they would not have kids. But then as soon as Carlos lost his money (and did not support Gaby), he changed his mind and began tweaking with her birth control pills. Tricking his own wife into having a baby she doesn’t want? Low. Not only did she have 2 kids, Gaby even supported the family when Carlos went blind. She sold all of her clothes and valuables so that the family could have a roof over their heads. And what did Carlos do for 8 seasons? Complain and not appreciate Gabrielle who was a true rock.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
