I'm A Sign Junkie, So Here Are My Top 10 Favorites I've Ever Owned

My inner Joanna Gaines comes out whenever I enter a Hobby Lobby or Target (or any other place with decorative signs).

I'll just be honest with you. After all, I'd like to think, because you are reading this article, that we're friends. Or at least the decor-obsessed equivalent. Anyways, I have a bit of a problem. Any time I enter a Hobby Lobby, Target, or any Home Goods store for that matter, I want to buy everything in sight. Even though I definitely don't have room for any of it. I would like to believe that plenty of people suffer from this predicament. But I have a select group of decorative signs that I still fall in love with when I admire them now, no matter how old they are. Here are my top 10 signs I've ever purchased:

1. Hobby Lobby is the bomb dot com when it comes to quotable signs!

2. Bookish signs are my jam.

2nd and Charles is now my FAVORITE place to buy bookish signs after finding this gem one day while book shopping.

3. The sign whose seller is unidentifiable.

Even though I honestly can't remember where I found this sign (this shows you I have a serious buying problem), I still adore it. I'm studying English at university right now, so it fits perfectly in my room at school.

4. Altar'd State is def my go-to for biblical decor.

Even though most shoppers know Altar'd State for its pricey apparel and other merchandise, it's my favorite store of all time. I have so many articles of clothing that I've purchased over the years from there, a new Bible that I adore, and a total of four decorative signs that always find their place in any room, at school or at home.

5. Coffee-themed signs are my spirit animal.

Someone get me a large coffee, please!

6. Newfound loves while in the Sunshine State.

I found Sugarboo & Co. while on vacation in Florida last month. I'd never heard of it, but it's apparently been a thing since 2005. Their motto is, "Dealer in Whimsy," which I absolutely love. They carry a TON of household items that are given an extra sprinkle of decorative love as well as writing tools such as notebooks, pens, paperweights, and more!

If you want to give them a search, their web URL is: https://www.sugarbooandco.com

7. DIY is a great thing if you're looking for something cheaper.

I did this sign a few years back and I still adore the quote. All I did was purchase a white canvas, black paint, and foam scrapbooking letters. Then I placed the scrapbooking letters where I wanted them on the canvas, painted over the entire thing, and after it dried I removed the letters. I found the idea on Pinterest and it worked like a charm!

8. Alphabet photography.

Okay, I don't know what this is officially called, but I really like the concept. And I love that you can create whatever you want with pictures you love. I created this sign in South Carolina when I was on vacation one year. It took the main precedence in my freshman dorm room, hanging over my bed alongside a photo collage board.

9. Signs that aren't even mine.

This isn't technically my sign, but I did buy it so whatever. I bought it as a Christmas present for my mom because it reminds me of her dad (and my papa), who passed away in 2016.

10. Those I haven't technically purchased...

But I will someday!

And those are 10 signs my inner Joanna Gaines absolutely loves!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
