Decisions, Ex-Friends and Clashes on Love and Hip Hop New York (12/10)

In the second episode of Love and Hip Hop New York, we finally found out more about the beef between Kimbella and Yandy. I remember (vaguely) when Kimbella attended the children's party where she wasn't exactly welcomed. Mendeecee's exes were there, and these exes were not seeing eye to eye with Yandy. There were some issues between them. Kimbella said on the show that Yandy invited her to the party, and she was upset that Yandy didn't exactly stand up for her (in the way that she thought she should) when Mendeecee's exes confronted her.

Yandy seemed surprised at the reason why Kimbella was irritated with her. She didn't think that the whole party thing was a big deal at all. I had the feeling that Yandy thought that Kimbella should forget about the whole thing and resume their old friendship. Kimbella wasn't having that. They didn't work anything out in the show. Ironically, as Yandy said, Kimbella and Juelz are going through a similar situation (having to make decisions that could result in time in jail) as Yandy and Mendeecees. Mendeecees is currently in prison.

Yandy is friends with Juelz, and it puts her in a difficult situation, because she wants to support Juelz and her children are friends with his kids. The ugliness between the women impacts both of their families and friends. Jonathan wanted Kimbella and Yandy to make up, and I hope that their friendship survives.

I was surprised to learn that JuJu and Jonathan were not so close any more. Jonathan was annoyed with JuJu, because they'd discussed working together on a radio show. When the opportunity came to make the radio show a reality, JuJu took the meeting and Jonathan indicated that he felt cut out of the deal. He was cut out of the money, because he didn't get any from the radio show.

JuJu didn't seem to know that Jonathan was irked at her. She didn't know that Jonathan had a problem with her until it got back to her that he was talking about her behind her back, and she wasn't exactly invited to Jonathan's birthday party. Jonathan said that it was the worst party that he ever had.

On a lighter note, it looks like Cyn is getting what she wants, more time and intimacy with her man! Joe agreed to have a vacation with her and stop working during the trip.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
