From my earliest days, I am able to remember all of our lunches, trips, and visits.
My years have been spent with you by my side. Picking me up from preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school. Driving around town until I found the perfect, Halloween costume. Attending all of the games and matches you could, always believing in me. Being there on days when I left school early because I was sick. Being the first to call me on my birthday every year.
Coming to our house on the first day of school to take pictures. Painting flowers and ladybugs on the perfectly shaped rocks you found. Purchasing from my school's fundraisers because you knew how happy it would make me to see your name listed. Always having a 5x7 frame ready for my school picture. Bringing me a Hess' sandwich and my favorite flavors of Gatorade for lunch and before my tennis matches. You have done and continue to do so much for me, Grandma.
What I will cherish forever is your loving me each day of my life. I hope you know how much I love and admire you. I thank God He blessed me with you- I am so lucky that you are my grandmother.
You are the most selfless and humble person I am fortunate to love. You have shown me what unconditional love is, and I will treasure your love and support for eternity. Now that I am fourteen hours away from home, I miss you so, incredibly much. I cannot hop in the car and stop to visit you whenever I want. Or drop off your favorite meal when I have the chance to surprise you. I cannot drive down a main road and see your gray car, and feel excited to see you. So, I look forward to calling you and hearing your soft, sweet voice that reminds me of home. I cannot wait to see you in November.
I could write forever about the amazing woman you are, but you know how much you mean to me, and that I keep you the closest to my heart.
Love Always,
Sydney Brooke
