Dear Weekend,
I miss you all the time. Whenever you are not here, I think about you all the time. I can’t wait for you to get here and I never want you to leave. Once I have to say goodbye I count down the days until I get to see you again. I look forward to whenever you come around because you bring me so much happiness. I want to thank you for so many things.
Thank you for allowing me to catch up on my sleep. Thank you for not judging me when I sleep for 12 hours and sometimes don’t even get out of my pajamas. Thank you for not making me set an alarm. Thank you for giving me a much needed break from going to class and meetings. Thank you for allowing me to not stress as much as I do during the week. Thank you for giving me time to watch Netflix or watch shows that I missed during the week. Thank you for letting me spend time with my friends. Thank you for giving me the chance to leave campus and not eat in the dining hall. Thank you for listening to me complain about how much I dread weekdays or complaining about the homework I have to do at some point. Thank you for giving me to the excuse to not answer my emails as quickly. Thank you for giving me the excuse to push my homework off for one more day, because who really does homework on a Friday or Saturday night anyway? Thank you for giving me this false sense of hope that I have so much time to get things done. Even though you go by so fast, I still like to think you won’t.
Sometimes, I take you for granted and for that I am sorry. Now, I have never appreciated you so much. I have grown to appreciate you more and more throughout my college years. When I was younger, I never thought I would appreciate you so much or miss you so much when you are gone. I realize now that I am a senior in college I might not be able to experience the benefits you bring anymore. Weekend, as I know you, might be gone. This means I appreciate you even more and will take advantage of the benefits you provide.
Right now, I miss you so much. Please come back quickly.
Love,
Emily
