Dear Future Love of My Life,

I hope we have a story worth telling, that we never have to say the word "almost" because it holds all of the "what ifs," "maybes" and every missed opportunity for greatness. I hope we never go a day without laughter. That when we see one another we are jovial and genuinely excited by the other's presence.

You see, I hope that we become best friends, that we go to concerts, bake cakes, dance around in our PJs and watch old Adam West "Batman" reruns together. That we smile at each other, our grins growing brighter every time. I wish to see the world through the wonder in your eyes, for every single person on earth to recognize exactly how incredible you and the soul inside of you are. For you to break boundaries and be passionate about what you do, whatever that may be.

I pray that we support each other, in all endeavors, that we build each other up and never try and tear the other down. I want you to know that you are absolutely wonderful in every way, that I will love you forever and I have such high hopes for us. I am constantly looking to the future, to when people think of us before they think of Harry and Sally, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Jack and Rose, or Brad and Angelina. I dream that our love can move mountains, that when we are together, the worst of weather couldn't shake us down. That we are comfortable in our own shoes, that when either one of us come home from a bad day, we share the burden together and have strength to stand against the worst life has to throw at us.

Every minute that you are in my life is a blessing from upstairs because a minute with you will be an eternity of wonder and happiness in my book. I know that I'll like you without even trying, that even though we will be on our own paths in life, we will soar high in greatness together. Being with you will be the best thing to happen since sliced bread, since the moon landing, since color television and even better than the day I will first lay eyes on you.
