DUSK Music Festival Powers Up & Doubles Down for 2017 with Major Hip-Hop & Electronic Headliners, Award-Winning Restaurants, Activities, Bazaar & More Oct 6 & 7 at Rillito Park.

Dusk Music Festival, launched in 2016 by a powerhouse of passionate music lovers and Tucson business owners is gearing up for the second year in a row with two days of music, food, art, and shopping. The first festival, which took place in 2016 was just one day. This year’s festival, which takes place October 6-7, 2017, adds a host of artists, activities, shopping, and food and beverage.

The festival, which features headliners Big Sean Friday night and Steve Aoki Saturday night, also features hip-hop artists Vince Staples, DJ Jazzy Jeff of Fresh Prince fame, EDM's fan favorite Louis The Child, Indie rock's Milky Chance, and a handful of national, international, and local artists.

In addition to the music lineup, Dusk will offer attendees a multisensory experience during the two-day festival, including an experiential marketplace called After Market with a variety of local artisan vendors; food and beverages from award-winning local restaurants, such as The Parish, Union Public House, Empire, and Frost; and a range of fun activities and art installations.

The founders of Dusk include architect Page Repp of Repp+McClain, Steve Stratigouleas of Union Public House and Reforma Modern Mexican, Illegal Pete’s Pete Turner, and native Tucsonan and mortgage lender John Rallis (VIP Mortgage). Railis had the original vision for the fest after attending dozens of music festivals around the nation and wanting to create an unrivaled experience in his hometown of Tucson.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
