DAMFS was officially created this year by John Carr. The idea of a clothing brand has always been on John's mind since he was a senior in high school and never left. He chose a clothing brand because there will always be a demand for clothing, especially the unique designs that you cannot find from any other brand. The entire brand is a vehicle for self expression standing for Don't Ask Me For Shit. John chose the phrase "Don't ask me for shit" because it is a generational name that he believes will be a long-term phrase since most people will relate to the fact that people do ask for too much.
John is from Lacey Township, New Jersey. He currently attends Pennsylvania State University and is a third year marketing major. He sees DAMFS as more than just a brand; a movement that defines our generation. With high-quality products and unique designs, DAMFS aims to be different. DAMFS is a socially aware company with values and views that align with their target audience. The brand's ideology is to ensure a reliable, adaptable, and socially aware name that expresses a multifaceted creative vision through clothing, accessories, and more.
John hopes to create unique and stylish designs that are affordable for everyone. His current plan for DAMFS is to release his designs only once; adding an exclusivity aspect to the brand. In the future he plans to release lines inspired by charities and donate a portion of those proceeds to those specific charities. He knows this specific act is not only important for himself, but for his customers as well. He wants to acknowledge to his customers that they will be buying more than just a shirt, there will be meaning behind the purchase.
This is only the beginning for DAMFS. John plans to be very active and engaged with his customers because at the end of the day, he knows customers are the most important part to any successful business.
