It's less than a week till Spring Break and I can tell you, I have never been more excited.

We need this break.

We deserve this break.

People have been talking and there are people headed to Florida, Aruba, the Bahamas, and every other warm spot in the world. I, however, am headed back home to Central Indiana. Exciting, I know. As lame as it sounds, I am pumped to go home. Indy is no Florida, but the break from school is what truly counts. Here's how I am planning on having a great spring break no matter where I am.

Relax time.

This is it, guys. The moment we've all been waiting for. I don't know about you, but this semester has been hectic and much harder than the last. I am most excited to lay in my bed and watch Netflix day in and day out and just relax. This is by far the best thing to look forward to during break.

Home cooked meals.

The most important thing in the world to college students. My mom is a former chef, so everything she cooks is to die for. When I'm at college nothing is even NEAR as good as her food. She makes everything homemade and nothing compares to her food at school. I can't wait for that white chicken chili and lots of food cooked on the grill.

Spring weather.

Let's be real, the weather is not going to be hot. Although, spring weather is really nice. Generally sunny and sometimes breezy. That is the kind of weather I live for. People spend so much time trying to get tan over break when really they should be enjoying the weather, riding their bikes, and taking their dogs for walks. Spring break can be just as great with warm-ish weather.

Seeing friends from home.

While lots of friends will be gone, if you stay home, you'll likely get to see each one of them at some point whether they come home for the whole break or for a day or two. This is always something I look forward to because, during the school year, I don't get to see many of my friends from home.

Making extra cash.

We're all broke college students and whether you like working or not, money is always the motive. Making extra spending money, or saving money if you're smart, is always the best thing to do over break. We can all use some extra cash.

Whether you're headed to the Caribbean or back home to Indy, you're bound to enjoy spring break. It's how you take it that matters. Enjoy the break and relax. School isn't out, but only nine more weeks till summer. Live it up!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
