A new craze that is taking over the grocery stores is couponing. Working in the service industry has taught me a lot for the better and worse. Although we don't enjoy typing in all of those coupons, or calling our manager when they don't scan, it's important we take interest into the deals. A lot of people are currently couponing to save money, although it is very tedious and it takes a lot of time out of your day it pays off in the end. Customers come through my line with coupons for diapers, food, cleaning supplies, body wash, laundry detergent, and etc. Most of the time you can get bundles of items for little or no money. I highly recommend college students take time out of the day to try to coupon, there are many social media sites you can follow to keep up to date with the deals of the week. Also, apps to get you started with your couponing process here are some steps to get you started and keep you on track.

1. Follow Coupon Social media sites.


Literally, just use the search engine on different social media sites #Couponing and any different deals and coupons will pop up. Some top instagram pages are kcdeals, and coupon bully. Facebook groups Publix Couponing 101, We LOVE couponing at Publix and Winn Dixie.


2. Make sure you use digital coupons.



There are digital coupons you can use if you're in a hurry if you don't have the time to print them out and download them. Whichever store you enjoy shopping at, download the app and activate as many coupons as you like so when you are in the store you are already prepare. Clip coupons in your spare time when you are on campus walking from class to class or even when you're at the desk at work.


4. Clip your Printable Coupons.



Coupons.com is a popular site for clipping coupons and printing them for instore deals. Be sure to sort the coupons you clip out in different paper clips, or if you get really fancy use a binder with tabs for each subject, i.e laundy, household care, food, and drinks. Keep your binder in the car you never know when you will catch a deal!


5. Buy some newspapers.


Believe it or not newspapers have great deals in them. All of those papers that usually fall out of them aren't just paper you can use for wrapping fragile items. There are coupons in the newspaper that can be used for different deals. Next time you get a chance, actually read through the newspaper, and sort through the sales papers located inside. You never know what you might find.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin."
