Coming home from college, and getting away from the campus atmosphere is always nice.

Not having to study and dealing with any school work, unless you are taking a summer class, is quite a blessing for us college students. Eating real food opposed to dining hall food, and not having to wear flip flops in the shower is definitely a win-win. However, not seeing the friends you made in college everyday is disappointing. You go from seeing them everyday, to now over FaceTime and Snapchat.

1. One Day home already and not knowing what to do with your life.

2. When someone asks how you did this year, overall.

3. When you see people you went to high school with.

4. And they say “hi” to you with a smile and a hand wave but you don’t wanna be bothered, so you give them a quick ‘hello’.

5. And really starting to realize you miss your friends you went to college with.

6. Trying to figure out what to do with your life for summer break.

7. Making plans with your college friends because you literally cannot go three and a half months without seeing them.

8. But you can’t wait to see them when August rolls around again and not have to worry about this whole ‘distance’ thing.

9. But, being home is so great. Not stressed over anything, not having to worry about loud people in the dorms screaming in the middle of the night, not having to worry about eating dorm food, and obviously showering with flip flops on.

10. Because you missed spending time with your family and nobody replaces your family.
