In a long, grueling, year long excursion of attempting to watch every single Netflix comedy special. I did it. Kinda. They add a new one almost everyday, it’s really difficult. There are a lot of bad comedians on Netflix and I suffered through them so all of you lovely people don’t have to.

Here are my top 15 Netflix comedians in order from “good” to “so hilarious my sides hurt”.

15. Ali Wong

TIP: Her only special on Netflix, "Baby Cobra", is definitely funnier the second time I watched it.

14. Bill Burr

If you’re into very harsh humor, then Bill Burr is just what you need. He has four specials on Netflix, my personal favorite being "I’m Sorry You Feel That Way".

13. Bo Burnham

I am not his biggest fan, but I do appreciate the thought he puts into his very comedic songs. Netflix has unfortunately removed "what" from their library, which was the one I preferred. However, "Make Happy" will still give ya a few chuckles.

12. Gabriel Iglesias

AKA Fluffy. Out of his three specials on Netflix the funniest by far (in my personal opinion) is "I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry". Such relatable content.

11. Jen Kirkman

Female comedians are underrated. I have never been disappointed by one and neither will you. You can trust me on this one. At the end of her special "In Trouble", you will be fighting for air between giggles.

9. Kathleen Madigan

"Bothering Jesus", her stories about her midwestern Irish family will fill you with laughs.

8. Mike Birbiglia

A relatable man. Mike Birbiglia’s three Netflix specials are all so hilarious I can’t pick a favorite. If you haven’t seen him you need to stop what you’re doing immediately and go open Netflix. Prepare for the funniest three hours of your life.

7. Dave Chappelle

A comic legend. You knew he had to be on this list. If you didn’t then you aren’t doing comedy right.

6. Cristela Alonzo

Every. Single. Second. Of. This. Special. Is. Hilarious. I’m. Serious. Go. Watch. "Lower Classy". Right Now.

5. Jim Gaffigan

Another comic legend. All five of his Netflix specials will have you going “damn, I’ve never found a middle age, white man so relatable before”. In a good way, I promise.

4. Chris D’elia

Remember the Justin Bieber roast? Yeah, that’s where you’ve seen him before. Both specials, "Incorrigible" and "Man on Fire" are very funny. I will warn you though his comedy is also a bit harsh.

3. Iliza Shlesinger

Another Last Comic Standing winner, Iliza puts all the feelings of being a woman into her comedy. If you don’t find "Freezing Hot" super relatable then you’re a boy.

2. Brent Morin

Ever been single? Meet Brent Morin. Super underrated comic. I can honestly say I have watched his special six times and I weep of laughter every time.

1. John Mulaney

Of course, Chicago’s own John Mulaney. The funniest man child on Netflix. I personally find "New in Town" funnier than "The Comeback Kid", but both will make your sides hurt. If you also just can’t get enough of him, he also appears in Oh Hello on Broadway and Big Mouth.

There you have it! Hours and hours of comedy I shoveled through (to be exact, it took 18 months to watch all of these) to help all of you lovely people through the dreaded winter! I wish you all a million laughs.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
