Today I was inspired by the greatest song ever written. If you have never heard the song "Testify" by NEED TO BREATHE, you are truly missing out on the soundtrack to my life.
Lately, I have had a feeling in my heart I can barely describe. It is a feeling of hurt and sadness, a feeling of eagerness and hope. Not that I have anything sad happening nor has anything hurt me, I feel it for others. I want something so very badly for others, but I'm not so sure they want it for themselves.
A fire has been lit in my soul and I want to bring everyone and anyone to the truth I have found. The truth in Jesus Christ, the single thing that keeps me going. The one who lights my path, the one that rights my wrongs. I guess I have just been feeling this way because it is hard for me to understand someone not getting to or not wanting to experience the greatness I am experiencing. Now this is where my favorite song comes in! I want everyone to come to the fountain and be satisfied. I want them to feel a peace and a love they can get lost inside.
Life with Jesus by my side is truly the sweetest life. I would not trade it for the world. I want to share the word of God, and my faith with as many people as I am able. Could you imagine bringing someone to God? My heart just wants to burst thinking about it. I want to bring as many people to the fountain of faith that I can. Maybe it will change their life. Maybe they will finally know what I feel. They will finally understand the true greatness that has been waiting for them.
I honestly would feel greedy keeping my faith a secret. My life has become so, so rich all because of my relationship with Jesus Christ. I have been thinking of ways to reach out to people and help spread the most amazing thing in my life. I am going to start extending invitations to my friends and their friends to join me in going to church on Sundays, "Young Life" during the week, devotionals, and even lunch to just talk about our faith. I want to make sure I always set an example for everyone around me and show them the things I have learned with my faith. Are these things you can do, too?
Prayer: Hey God, It's me. Today I want your help. I am asking you to give me the confidence and the ability to reach out to others and talk about you. I want to share the greatness I have with as many people as I can. I want to help people find their way to you. I am very thankful for everything you have done to make my life so beautiful, and I just want to share it. In Jesus name, Amen.
