There nothing that I enjoy more than drinking a cup of coffee while having cats cuddle with me. Well, I didn't realize that there was nothing I enjoyed more until I finally got to experience it! If you're a resident of Columbia, SC, you have got to try out this Cafe.
Cattitude Cat Cafe, located on State Street in Columbia, SC, is every cat lovers dream. Order a cup of coffee, walk up a stairway and BAM, there it is. A room full of cats of all sizes and types to love. I mean honestly, any personality type you can think of, you can have. If you want a cat that will run around and chase you, you got it. If you want a cat that will sit in your lap while you read a book, you can have that, too!
The cafe has study areas to do work, couches to relax and cats! Lots and lots of cats! But that's not even the best part.You can adopt the cats and all of the proceeds goes to Columbia's local animal shelter! So, the cat cafe is constantly able to bring in new fur babies for you to love.
With the end of the semester approaching, we all are a bit more stressed than usual. We have finals, eight-page essays and an abundance of extra assignments. What better way to relieve your stress than to spend an hour with a lot of cats who just want to play and cuddle all day?
Honestly, visiting Catitude was the greatest decision of my life.
The staff is friendly and very informative. They will tell you anything you want to know, from the cat's names to their personality type. They keep the cat rooms well-maintained and work hard to show all of the cats love.
I remember growing up always saying I wanted to visit a cat cafe. I never imagined that Columbia would bring one a couple of blocks from me. The location is very convenient to The University of South Carolina, so if you have a couple of hours between classes, it is definitely the place to be!
To top it off, for the adults out there who love cats, they are now serving beer and wine! It is purrfect for a night out with friends.
Students get to receive a discount with the presentation of their student ID, so for us college students, the pricing is just right!
When I first walked into Catitude, I immediately fell in love with, well, every cat that I saw. Everything about this cafe is fun, enjoyable and friendly.
So, to all of you who have heard of the cat cafe but haven't made time to check it out, I definitely recommend doing so! It is something fairly new in Columbia for residents to enjoy, and it is nearly impossible to not enjoy it!
