1) When you're having a good time, and someone reminds you about an assignment.

Whether you're at a bar or walking around campus theres always that one person whose head is constantly in the books. They have the ability to ruin your entire day with a simple question; "have you finished that paper?".

2) When you go to check on how much money is in your account and you're broke

Living is expensive and I never quite understood how expensive until I left home. I'm in a constant state of fear as to when my card will get declined again.

3) When you and your best friend have a little too much to drink

After a long week of studying or procrastinating it always feels good to go out with your friends. Just always make sure you have a safe ride home.

4) Going to class on 2 hours of sleep

Sometimes you don't sleep because you're up doing homework, sometimes you're out on an adventure or simply at a bar. Either way, we've all had nights where we get home just in time to make it to class.

5) Rewriting your paper for the 3rd time

It's 2am you're tired, you're hungry and you just want to go to sleep. However every time you read over your final draft you find those little mistakes that'll take your A paper and drop it to a D.

6) Fighting someone for the last open washer.

Laundry is a must, no one likes to wear to dirty laundry. However, if you're like me laundry comes last on my list of things to do.The laundry room is cramped, hot and always overloaded with angry people who have also put off doing their laundry. It doesn't matter what time you go, it's always full.

7) When you start to stress eat, because you have no self-control.

Life is hard, food is expensive, but no matter how many times you stock the fridge it always disappears after your test. It's like it just magically walks away because you have no recollection of eating a pack of Oreos, a jar of peanut butter and a whole loaf of bread. It just happened.

8) When you're just done with life

You've had a rough week and all you want is to go home and hug your parents.

9) Reviewing for a test and realizing you have no idea what you're doing

Sometimes I swear the professors throw in the extra material just to watch our heads spin. You're looking through the chapters and all of sudden realize that he didn't teach half the chapters that are on your test.

10) Waiting for your GPA to go up.

You've studied for hours, gone to tutoring, even skipped the bars purely to study, yet your GPA hasn't budged. It gets disappointing, but as long as you're doing your best there's nothing else you can do.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
