College is the greatest four years of your life, so enjoy it! Just like anything else worth doing, college is stressful and a ton of work, but the friendships, priceless experiences, and knowledge that you obtain from your college career balances out the stress. There are many different aspects that make up college life, and Buddy the Elf and the Grinch have two of the best personalities to describe them. Here are 25 of these different aspects to college life as told by Buddy the Elf and the Grinch.

1. Morning people on the way to class (Buddy The Elf) vs. those who don't want any form of social interaction until noon (raccoon):

4. The freshman that is overly aggressive when making friends because s/he just wants to make as many friends as possible:

8. When you get something thrown at you, or worse, poured on you when walking to a house party:


9. This is you after you wake up the morning after a night out, and you excessively apologize for something stupid that you did the night before:


10. You during finals week when you finally go insane from sleep deprivation due to the countless amount of hours that you spent studying, writing papers, and preparing your presentations:


11. When someone insults you in an elevator, this is what you secretly want to do (never insult anyone in an elevator):


12. You when it's chicken nugget day in the dinning hall:


13. You trying to play it cool when someone you like asks you to go to a party with them:


14. And this is what you actually feel like:


15. You after three days into December because your roommates haven't stopped blasting Christmas music on the stereo for the entire world to hear:


16. How you feel when you are called on by your professor but have no clue what the answer to their question is:

19. When you and your roommates jokingly make fun of each other and someone takes it too far:

22. So you go out with your friends that night in order to try to take your mind off of the bad grade:


23. It doesn't matter where you go to college, the bathrooms are always worse in comparison to what you are used to at home:


24. You embarrassing yourself on your fist day of your internship:


25. Even though college might be stressful at times, this how you feel when you return to your college campus from summer or winter break and reunite with all of your friends:

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
