Some might spend Easter weekend at home relaxing and being pampered; finally escaping from school and indulging in copious amounts of chocolate. Others will stay at school over Easter, finding that break is better spent away from parents. Wherever you will be, one of the greatest highlights of Easter is opening those marvelous baskets.

Here are some hidden gems I hope you find in your basket!

1. Money

Enough said.

2. A class is canceled email

Nothing says I love you more than no class.

3. Homemade treats

Cookies and brownies galore. No matter how good Donna's cookies are, they can't beat mom's.

4. A real mattress

The dorm bed hasn't done it's job since the first night. Now you might actually get those desired 8 hours.

5. More Dragon Dollars

Let's be honest, you ran out of those months ago.

6. CHOCOLATE!

No one can resist a Cadbury egg.

7. An entire new wardrobe

You ran out of clean clothes weeks ago, and now you wont need to do another load.

8. Alcohol

Shooters, handles, whatever. Just something to take the edge off.

9. Free homework pass

For those days that you just can't even.

10. Hope

The bittersweet reminder that there is one more month left till the sweet freedom of summer.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
