"No matter how you feel... get up, dress up, show up, and never give up."

Stress is a big obstacle many college students face within the first few weeks of class, here are some ways to help you through that stress.

1. Take a nap

It's important to get the right amount of sleep per day, so go ahead and take that nap.

2. Keep up with the class

As you go over something, make sure you understand it and do the homework that goes along with it. If you wait until last minute, you'll be stressed and cramming.

3. Learn how to say no.

You won't be able to get anything important done, if you say yes to everything! It's okay to say no sometimes.

4. Remember to eat, and don't eat just snacks.

If you have to, set it on your reminders. Sometimes, it will just slip your mind when you're busy with school work. Plus, eating makes you happy!

5. Have a schedule!

Write your schedule down at the beginning of the week, make sure you get things done. Also, if something comes up, you can always see if you have something going on; this way you aren't stretching yourself too thin.

6. Stay off your phone when studying!

Make a no electronics rule if you have to, but phones are too distracting to be studying around.

7. Be social!

Get involved and be in a club or organization, and make friends!

8. Celebrate your little accomplishments

Big or small, celebrate it!

9. Remember your goals and accomplish them.

Set yourself goals for the semester, year, and for your college experience, and work towards them!

10. Take some time to relax every now and then.

College is stressful as it is, without you making it harder! So, find ways to make it easier on yourself!

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.
