First of all college life isn't like the college dramas you watch on TV or in the movies. Sorry to all of those who thought it was just like the movies cough*(high school seniors)*cough. Any who college is a great, stressful, and even scary time.

So let me run some truth for you, you will probably start the semester off really strong like getting your homework's in and being to class on time having a social life and all that great stuff. Having a great time, enjoying your friends maybe even watching a Netflix episode or ten.

Then it hits the middle of semester hits and it hits you hard that's when you debate if going to your eight o'clock class is really worth it (it is, trust me) at least if your tired you can some retain information and you won't get behind in class.

If really doing that homework will affect your grade or even if you should be studying for an exam that you have no chance of passing.

Trust me I know the middle of the semester I am counting down the days until its Thanksgiving break so I can sleep. I am also hitting that middle semester where I just feel like I am ten feet underwater with nobody to help.

My social life is very little for my time is taken up doing homework, practicing for crew and studying for exams. It's hard I have pulled four all-nighters just for studying and two just to get ahead of homework, sleep is no longer a thought in my head, and I thought they said college life was easy and fun not stressful.

Here is what I figured out, it's both it is a crazy confusing balance of both.

The fun part is doing everything you want to do without having to ask anybody for permission that is the fun part, going out with friends, making new friends just more fun to go along.

The stress comes from everything else the homework, classes, professors and maybe roommates. It is a balance a crazy, crazy balance of having fun and dealing the stress of it all. It is also a few phone calls to your parents and maybe some tears, but trust me it does get better the stress of it all will one day pay off when you are sitting in the job of your dreams.

So stay the course wipe your eyes, pull your chin up and remember you are not the only one going through the stress of middle of the semester everybody else is too.

You got this, and it will pay off.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
