We all eat fast food at least a couple of times a week and don't think anything about it. Let's mix your college major and your favorite fast food restaurants together to see what fast food restaurant describes your major the best. Who would have thought that you could compare the two?

1. Education: McDonald's

McDonald's was created for children. You don't get good grades unless you study, just like you don't get your toy until you've eaten all of your nuggets. At the end of the day you're probably like the "broken" ice cream machine and need a nap.

2. Business: Wendy's

Business is a go-to major like Wendy's is a go-to place for a good burger. You're full of options as broad as the menu. You are good at marketing your product just like the $4 for 4 deal.

3. Engineering: Subway

Building a sandwich is basically engineering in itself, right?

4. Music: Sonic

Music is such a detailed major. From the different instruments to the different pieces of music, it is almost as diverse as the slushy options at Sonic. Also, music majors have to be talented, just like the car hops on roller-skates.

5. Communications: Chick-fil-A

Everyone's favorite food is Chick-fil-A. Everyone's favorite people always seem to be communication majors. You know how to get along with people and how to please people. You have unique characteristics that make you special, just like Chick-fil-A's famous waffle fries.

6. Psychology: Dairy Queen

There are so many options for blizzards and desserts just like there are psychology majors. They are needed every once in a while to make life better.

7. Nursing: Cook Out

Cook Out is open late just like you're up studying or working night shift late at night. You have a broad list of things to memorize like the long menu at Cook Out. Everyone loves you and couldn't go without you.

8. BioMed: Zaxby's

You're needed, just like every fry from Zaxby's needs their seasoning on it. You're concerned at least a little bit about your health, so you definitely are one with a good Zalad. You are on the more expensive side of fast food, just like all the schooling for your major is going to cost you more than others.

9. Spanish: Taco Bell

I feel like this is obvious, right?

10. Public Relations: Burger King

You make people that you work with happy, so they can have it their way. You keep everyone informed when something big happens like the release of chicken fries.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
