Spring break is right around the corner, and I could not be more ecstatic!

This means that you should take your time away from school, and spend it relaxing. No matter what you do this spring break, make sure that you take full advantage of this stress-free week, and spend it doing something enjoyable for yourself.

Here's a few things that I know I will definitely be doing in my free time this spring break.

1. Travel

Somewhere with a beach, of course! Being able to wake up on the beach is one of my favorite things about spring break. It always feels so good to escape reality and enjoy every single minute of not stressing about school and work.

2. Get tan

Another great part about spring break is being able to come back to reality looking good with your new sun tan! Not to mention, it is so relaxing and enjoyable to lay out and soak in the vitamin D.

3. Spend time with friends

Whether it is going on vacation with your friends, or just going back to your hometown, it's always so much fun to spend spring break with your favorite people.

4. Relax

Even if you have no plans for spring break, spend it at home relaxing with your favorite foods and movies! You'll really be glad you did when you have to come back to piles of homework.

5. Go to a concert

Concerts are one of the greatest things to do if you want to have fun. Spring break would be the absolute perfect time to go to one!

6. Go shopping

Whether it is on the boardwalk or strip of a beach, or just at the normal mall, this is the perfect time to spend your time spoiling yourself with new things! Plus, the weather is hot now, so it's a great excuse to get new clothes and bathing suits.

7. Go out to your favorite places

Whether it's bars, restaurants, or just walking around downtown, spring break is a great time to let loose and enjoy yourself with friends or family! You won't have to worry about missing classes the next day either.

8. Work out

I know seeing everyone look so good in their spring break pictures will make me want to spend some of my free time at the gym!

9. Try something new

Spring break is the perfect time to try something new. Go somewhere you've never been, take a spontaneous road trip, or try a new restaurant you've been wanting to try.

10. Take as many pictures as possible

Capture the moments of your 2018 spring break, you'll want to look back and remember how much fun it was. When you are stressed out later on, you can always reminisce on all the fun you had, and day dream about going back!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
