If you're anything like me, this is probably how you feel about responsibilities at this point in the semester:
Luckily, we only have one week left to suffer through, but the unfortunate part is that the one week is filled with finals. There are a few items all students will need to help them survive this restless week.
1. Coffee
This seems like a reasonably sized cup to start out with.
2. Snacks
Long hours require lots of snacks, so it's best to be prepared in advance to avoid late night runs that take up precious time.
3. Ice cream
Speaking of snacks, it's best to also have lots of ice cream on hand to help cure the mental breakdowns you'll inevitably have.
4. Did I mention coffee?
How anyone can make it through college without coffee completely blows my mind - especially during finals week. Honestly, it's probably most efficient at this point to just absorb it through our skin as well since it's already running through our veins.
5. Frequent hugs
Sure, we may all be freaking out, but there's comfort in knowing you aren't alone.
6. Quality study jams
You'll need at least two playlists for finals week- one for studying and one for jamming during study breaks. Movie soundtracks are a solid choice for studying since they're intended to motivate without being distracting. I personally recommend checking out the soundtracks from the Harry Potter and Inception films.
7. Videos of puppies
Sometimes you really just need to see some cute puppies to de-stress - just don't fall into an endless loop and find yourself six hours into YouTube.
8. Fluffy blankets
Fluffy blankets are absolutely a must, and finals week is no exception.
9. Lots of water
Staying hydrated is extremely important, especially when consuming coffee constantly.
10. Movie tickets
With all the stress of finals, you need something to look forward to. Luckily for us, the new Star Warsrelease is right around the corner.
We all know that sleep is the one thing that won't happen that week, and caffeine is our best attempt to replace it.
However true this may be, it is still important to take care of yourself. Grades are obviously important, but so is your health, so stay safe and finish out the semester strong!
