I won't lie, with the pain of the current events, music has been my ultimate escape. Ever since I was little, I have associated music with certain feelings and memories. So for the most part, instead of being in this current place of 2020, I have been listening to music that provoke memories of playing video games or the fun moments of high school. So today, I've decided to show you just what that looks like! Maybe then, you can join me in taking a step back and just vibe with the music! Join me as we tour through my Spotify Playlists!

1) Run Back

In our first stop of this tour, we are at playlist of my 2013, run back. The memories I have of that year is mostly sitting in front of my TV playing Minecraft. While playing Minecraft, I would turn on Pandora to help 'inspire' my building. Sadly my Minecraft building were not top tier, but out of it, I built a nice playlist that makes me feel calm. When I am feeling nostalgic, this is the first playlist I will come to. In this playlist, you will mostly see One Direction, as at this time, I hit the awful peak of fangirling over 1D. However, I still think that they have some nice songs. This is a nice destination if you just want to run back to when life wasn't as stressful as it now!

Favorite songs in Run Back: Wake Me Up - Ed Sheeran, Talking to the Moon - Bruno Mars, A Drop In the Ocean - Ron Pope, Change my Mind - One Direction, Hurricane - Bridget Mendler, Rhythm of Love - Plain White T's.

2) it'll all make sense again

Next stop is the token sad playlist! I feel that as if you might just know the meaning of this playlist, but I'll be glad to elaborate. This playlist is for when I just need sometime to sing it out, or when I don't know where to put my feelings. Sometimes when I am listening to this playlist, I am not particularly sad, I just need quiet music when I am struggling to focus. If you are ever feeling something, come take a stop here and take some time to yourself! I can promise you, you'll feel like a new person once you leave!

Favorite songs in it'll all make sense again: All I Want - Kodaline, Turning Page - Sleeping at Last, i love you - Billie Eilish, One Last Dance - Us The Duo, When I Look At You - Miley Cyrus, Pretty Lady - Talyana

3) sweet honeybee!

To uplift the feelings of a group, we are now at sweet honeybee, or known as the happy playlist. Like the description says, this playlist is what feels like sunlight on my skin, which makes me happy! If you ever need a pick me up or want to reverse the feelings of the last stop, this is your place! These are all songs that I have associated with good and cozy feelings, and is a fun playlist to listen to. The best time to come here is in the morning, it will change your entire day!

Favorite songs in sweet honeybee : I lived - OneRepublic, Strawberry Blond - Mitski, Strawberry Fields Forever - The Beatles, Come and Get Your Love - Redbone, New Soul - Yael Naim, Soldier, Poet, King - The Oh Hellos.

4) Roadtrippin'

I would say that this stop is pretty fitting for our tour. As we continue to explore, we arrive at the Roadtrippin' playlist! To explain this playlist, when I was younger, we used to make weekend trips from Altus Oklahoma to Oklahoma City. These 2 hour trips consisted of sleeping, and my dad's playlist. In here, you will find old R&B and Hip Hop hits. (I won't lie when I say my dad has pretty good taste.) What makes me so happy about this playlist is that all of the upbeat songs make for perfect music for car drives. Every time that I make a decent drive, it starts here!

Favorite songs in Roadtrippin' : Run tha Streetz - Tupac, Dirt Off Your Shoulder - Jay-Z, Lovers and Friends - Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, Oh Boy - Cam'ron, Juelz Santana.

5) It's A Musical

For all of my guys, gals, and non-binary pals that enjoy Broadway, this would be your favorite place! Here you will find a mix of some of my personal favorite musicals. This playlist takes me back to my times in theatre production class when we were getting ready to preform. We would scream to the lyrics of our favorite musicals, which leads us to this playlist. Because of that, I like to call this playlist the sing a long. So the next time you are bored, or even in the shower, I'd recommend coming here! Even if you don't listen to musicals, I think that you just might recognize some of the songs here...

Favorite songs in It's A Musical: In - Carrie the Musical, I'll Cover You Reprise - Rent, Everything Changes - Waitress, As Long as Your Mine - Wicked, Canceling the Bar Mitzvah - Falsettos.

6) great are you, Lord.

Here we are at my favorite small playlist. This playlist has memories of crying out these lyrics at worship services, and just how much it filled my soul. If I am having a bad day, I'll make my way here, and remind me of all the goodness I need. This playlist tends to grow each week, as I find new songs that tug at my heart strings in various ways, but nevertheless, I still love to come to this playlist.

Favorite songs in great are you, Lord : Graves Into Gardens - Elevation Worship, Give me Faith - Elevation Worship, Egypt - Bethel Music, Who You Say I Am - Hillsong Worship Band, Living Hope - Bethel Music.

7) silver bells

Now, as we move into our last playlist, I would like to answer all of your burning questions.

1) Yes, I am aware that it has only been a short amount of time since Halloween.

2) Yes, I do know that Thanksgiving has passed.

3) Sure, I care about Thanksgiving.

4) No, I will not wait until after Thanksgiving.

Please hear me out here, this year has been anything but ideal. The amount of times I've been filled with stress, tears, and anxiety are unmeasurable, and this is a good way to move past it. Christmas is one Holiday that many people find rest in due to how happy everyone is in the season, so naturally after nearly collapsing to the pain of this year, I have found refuge in Christmas music. So, I of course associate this playlist with the happiness Christmas brings. I imagine a happy place of snow, family, and love as I listen. I would suggest listen to Christmas music, its helped me in so many ways, and I feel it can do the same to you!

Favorite songs in silver bells: Silent Night - The Temptations, Little Drummer Boy - Pentatonix, It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas - Michael Bublé, Santa Tell Me - Ariana Grande.

Unfortunately, this concludes our tour. I would like to thank you for joining me, and hope you have found some fun in this. If you would like to visit these destinations on your own terms, you can follow me on Spotify by the name of Destiny <3. If you are ever looking for me, you can probably find me hiding behind these playlist! Even though this week has been hard and stressful, I hope for peace within us all, and that hopefully you can all find something that helps you like music helps me. Good Luck to you all, and Happy Listening!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
