Coca-Cola has been around for 123 years. Everyone is familiar with the white cursive reading "Coca-Cola" and the red background label. But now Coca-Cola has taken a different approach. Although it still has red and white, the can will now be different. In order to try and put a positive thought out into the world, Coca-Cola has dropped their own label from their can, hoping we do the same in society.
On this new can, Coca-Cola will no longer have the brand on it. One side will be completely blank, while the other reads "Labels are for cans, not for people."
"Through this campaign, Coca-Cola encourages the world to see without labels, but instead to open their hearts and see with their hearts," Coca-Cola said in a statement. "Coca-Cola is removing its own iconic labels in an effort to promote a world without labels and prejudices."
These cans will now be disbursed this month in the Middle East during Ramadan. In their statement they express why they decided to do this.
"In the Middle East, during the month of Ramadan, one of the worldās most well-known labels has removed its own label, off its cans, in an effort to promote a world without labels and prejudices."
Although this isn't the first campaign made in order to increase awareness on equality and prejudice, it still opens people's eyes to really not judge a book by its cover.
