A hot cup of coffee can start your morning off right and a hot cup of tea can be soothing after a long stressful day. Everyone has their drink whether it be a good cup of joe or a sweet cup of tea. There have been many articles and studies about each and why one is better then the other. Is one truly better then the other? Lets find out!
Let's start with coffee- my personal favorite.
Coffee can boost energy levels- the caffeine in coffee is absorbed in the blood stream right to the brain to give you an immediate energy boost.
Coffee is one of the very few natural substances that help burn fat. Studies have shown that the caffeine can boost metabolism rate 3-11%.
Coffee contains several important nutrients, including Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Manganese, Potassium, Magnesium and Niacin.
Coffee can help lower risk of diabetes, Alzheimer's and dementia. It can help protect the liver and has lots of antioxidants.
Coffee is also a natural diarrhetic.
Finally my favorite part, the smell- it can improve your mood, lessen stress levels and just generally make you happier.
Now on to tea;
There are many different kinds of tea and each may have different qualities, but we are going to focus on the general benefits of most teas and what they have in common.
Tea contains many antioxidants and can reduce risk of heart attack and stroke.
Tea helps aid weight loss and can lower cholesterol. It also helps protect bones.
Teas drinkers have a lower risk of skin, prostate, and breast cancer.
Tea keeps teeth white by changing the ph levels in your mouth to help protect against cavaties and can freshen breath.
Tea is great to help soothe the digestive system.
Like smelling coffee, tea can better your mood and lessen stress levels just by drinking it.
Whether you choose tea or coffee both have great physical and mental benefits.
Both can be made many different ways so everyone can find something they enjoy in any season, hot or cold.
So cozy up with your favorite blanket, put on your favorite show, and enjoy every sip of your favorite drink.
