17 Opening Quotes From 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' to Give You Inspiration

In This Article:

Every episode of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" began with an inspirational quote that would tell you a little about what each episode would entail. The series had over 90 episodes, so 17 is a sample size.

S2 E3: "Children of the Force"

"The first step to correcting a mistake is patience."

After making a mistake, take a deep breath. It is OK. You can fix it.

S2 E17: "Bounty Hunters"

"Courage makes heroes, but trust builds friendship."

Having your trust could be the most important thing to a person.

S2 E21: "R2 Come Home"

"Adversity is friendship's truest test."

The best friendships will stand the test of time.

S1 E3: "Shadow of Malevolence"

"Easy is the path to wisdom for those not blinded by ego."

Having a big ego can be charming (maybe even sexy), but it will take time for others to believe that you are wise.

S3 E13: "Monster"

"Evil is not born, it is taught."

Generally, people are good. It is when they are taught wrongly, neglected, or abused that people turn.

S3 E15: "Overlords"

"Balance is found in the one who faces his guilt."

Guilt is something we will all deal with. Finding the right way of dealing with guilt is the hard part.

S3 E9: "Hunt for Ziro"

"Love comes in all shapes and sizes."

Love is everywhere. You may just be looking in the wrong place.

S5 E7: "A Test of Strength"

"The young are often underestimated."

The youth are strong and sometimes blind to the truth. Their visions can be skewed easily without the correct guidance or through manipulation.

S4 E20: "Bounty"

"Who we are never changes, who we think we are does."

Like I said before, people are generally good. When their thought process has changed, people may think of themselves differently.

S5 E6 : "The Gathering"

"He who faces himself finds himself."

Morality plays a huge role in our lives. Knowing who you are and your morals are very important.

S1 E6: "Downfall of a Droid"

"Trust in your friends, and they'll have reason to trust in you."

Without trust, a friendship isn't a true friendship.

S6 E4: "Orders"

"The popular belief isn't the correct one."

Believing in something wrong can be dangerous for the individual, those they love, and everyone around them.

S6 E12: "Destiny"

"Death is just the beginning."

Losing someone can be destructive to a person. The realization that the person lives on after their passing is important. They live through your memories and their legacy will live on.

S3 E6: "The Academy"

"Those who enforce the law must obey the law."

Many believe in corruption–that no matter what, someone is pulling the string against them.

S4 E4: "Shadow Warrior"

"Who a person truly is cannot be seen with the eye."

You cannot know someone by simply looking at them. People have their own story to tell and their own personality to be loved.

S6 E8: "The Disappeared: Part 1"

"Without darkness, there can be no light."

Balance. Without evil, there is no good. Without a disaster, we cannot rebuild. Without failure, we cannot learn.

S5 E20: "The Wrong Jedi"

"Never give up hope, no matter how dark things seem."

No matter what, you will find a way. With just a single spark, a fire can be lit.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
