If you're ever feeling down or just bored of your surroundings in college, take the bus somewhere else. It's crazy how much changing your environment helps. I spent some of my study day studying, but I needed a change of scenery first.

Today I went a little out of the city to my favorite part of Philly: The quieter parts that aren't really even considered Philly by some. Particularly, I went to Bala Cynwyd and loved it.

I was able to go to a cafe and study without being surrounded by other people. I got to explore a medical school I may attend someday. Most importantly, I took a break from studying and got outside.

Sometimes that's what you need to reset your brain. It's worth the $5.00 to take the bus out of your comfort zone. It's kind of nice to just hop on and not know where you're going.

Moving to the city has really challenged my view of the world. I no longer feel threatened by a lack of familiarity. The more you explore what isn't familiar to you, the more you learn, and I believe it helps productivity too.

Sure, I could have spent the entire day studying in the library with no breaks, but I doubt I would have gotten much done. Who can focus without some sunlight and fresh air? I needed to reset, and going out did just that. It's good for your body to walk around, and it's good for your mind to explore. It's also good for your taste buds to try new food!

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
