Fashion is one of the best ways to express personality and attitude. As college approaches and it is time to get the wardrobe together, deciding what to bring and how to look for class can be very stressful. College outfits are very different from those of high school and it can be difficult to find the right balance between comfortable and cute. While it is important to look nice and take pride in your appearance, comfort should always be taken into account, especially if a lot of walking around campus is involved. These outfits of the week can be used to help organize the dorm closet and make moving in much easier.
Monday: Don't hate on Monday. It's the first day of the week and can impact how classes and campus life feels. Start with a simple button down or detailed shirt and dress it up with a statement necklace or funky watch. Jeans or shorts are a simple go-to and look great with just about anything in the changing seasons. Bring a cardigan or light jacket to class because the temperature can go up or down in a matter of seconds. For shoes, it's recommended to wear comfortable flats, or sandals, depending on how far classes are.
Tuesday: Making the way into the week, Tuesday can showcase a light casual dress or skirt and blouse. If wearing a dress, throwing on a light blazer can be helpful if work is right around the corner between classes, or just look professional without being too dressy. Something the professor may appreciate.
Wednesday: HUMP DAY! On Wednesday, go back to jeans or capri pants with a nice, flowy blouse. This is a classic staple that can be worn all year round and is a nice, effortless go-to outfit.
Thursday: The week's almost over, thankfully. If looking casual seems to be the feeling of the day, then throw on a simple tank, paired with shorts or pants. Add a cute and colorful cardigan for those below zero AC classes and it's good to go.
Friday: Thank God it's Friday. The week is over and no casualties were involved. For casual Friday, break out a favorite T-shirt from rush or concert with those adorable fabric shorts in the dresser. Paired with sandals or sneakers, this is the day to relax and look forward to the weekend.
