Christmas Movies are a very important part of the holiday for me. Nothing gets me in the holiday spirit more than drinking hot chocolate and watching my favorite Christmas movies. It is actually my family’s traditions to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation every Christmas Eve before going to bed.

Everyone knows the holy grail of Christmas movies has become Freeform’s 25 days of Christmas. The Christmas movie marathon has become one of my favorite holiday tradition. Here are 25 Christmas movie I believe to be a much watch this Christmas season and every season to follow.

1. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

My favorite Christmas movie ever!

2. Elf

3. The Nightmare before Christmas

4. Polar Express

This movie gave me nightmares as a small child and now it's one of my favorites.

5. The Santa Clause

6. And The Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Clause

7. And The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

8. A Christmas Story

9. Home Alone

10. And Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

There is a Home Alone 3,4 and 5 but they are not good.

11. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Both the cartoon and Jim Carrey version.

12. Jingle all the Way

13. Christmas With the Kranks

Another Tim Allen Christmas masterpiece.

14. Santa Claus is Coming to Town

A Classic.

15. Frosty the Snowman

A Classic. x2

16. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

A Classic. x3

17. A Charlie Brown Christmas

18. Four Christmases

19. A Christmas Carol

There are so many remakes of this story, watch them all.

20. Die Hard

People will argue this isn't a Christmas movie, I say those people are wrong.

25. Mickey’s Christmas Carol

If none of these movies fulfill your Christmas movie needs Freeform, Lifetime, and the Hallmark channel are playing Christmas movies all month. Some are even channel originals so check them out.
