The second the clock said 12:00 A.M November 1st I started to watch Christmas movies. There's just so much joy in watching holiday movies it's hard to not start sooner. There are so many that are amazing, classic, and have some nostalgia attached to them. They just make me happy, and I have so many that I have to watch or else it just isn't Christmas. So, without further ado lets get on with the 12 Christmas movies you should absolutely watch every season.

1. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

This is one of my families absolutely cannot miss movies. I can't remember a year where we didn't watch it, even if it was just background noise. This movie is hilarious, a little relatable (who hasn't wanted to kill your family or your boss) and heartwarming. If you're worried about spending the holidays with your family, this movie will make sure you feel a little bit better.

2. A Charlie Brown Christmas

A Charlie Brown Christmas is an absolute classic and should never go a Christmas season unwatched, and I don't think I've never not watched it. If you need a lighthearted reminder of what the Christmas season is really about, turn on this timeless and heartwarming gem.

3. A Year Without a Santa Claus

There is just something about this classic movie that makes my heart warm and puts a smile on my face. This was one of mine and my brothers' favorites when we were little, and we would always get so excited when it would come on ABC. The music, the characters (and the character development) and everything about this movie gets me in the Christmas spirit.

4. It's A Wonderful Life

It's a Wonderful Life is my father's favorite Christmas movie. It's always on our local news station all day Christmas day, and for a good reason. It's such a good reminder of what's important in life. It's a classic with a sweet ending. What more could you want?

5. The Polar Express

The Polar Express was the holiday movie of my childhood and I still love watching it every year. The importance it teaches of believing in something and having hope are things I still carry with me to this day.

6. The Santa Clause

The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2, and The Santa Clause 3 are all such good movies that, in my opinion, don't get enough hype anymore. It's a funny movie, that still teaches us what's important in life and especially what's important around this Christmas season.

7. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

SUCH an unforgettable Christmas movie that you have to at least listen to "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" when it comes on. Let's face it, we've all at some point related to the Grinch, so it's even a relatable movie. Even if you hate the live action version with Jim Carrey, like me, it's hard to not love the original animated version.

8. Home Alone

Of course, I had to mention the Home Alone movies (even if I've only seen the first one, oops). These are fantastic movies that not only will make you question what the father in the movie did for a living (he took like 15 people to Paris and the size of their house??) and who can forget their child at home, but it will also make you laugh.

9. A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol is what I think of when I think of iconic Christmas movies. It doesn't matter, which version you watch (Mickey's Christmas Carol is my personal favorite) reading the book or going to see the play at a local theater, it's a must watch every year.

10. A Christmas Story

There's always a family that has a leg lamp replica and everyone knows someone who can recite the whole movie. This movie gives many laughs, and also teaches the important lesson to never lick a frozen poll.

11.The Nightmare Before Christmas

I know there's a lot of debate on whether or not this is a Christmas movie or a Halloween movie, but I think it's both and we can watch it twice a year. Actually, I'd love to watch this movie year-round.

12. Die Hard

Giphy

Last but not least, Die Hard. Die Hard is absolutely a Christmas movie and I don't want anyone saying it isn't. It takes place during a Christmas party, and the ending is heartwarming, so it has all the holiday elements you need for a Christmas movie.

And there you have it! 12 movies you must see every Christmas season.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
