The Perfect Christmas List For Students Studying Abroad Next Semester

Christmas is right around the corner which means students that are going abroad for the spring semester, you're about to leave and have the best time of your entire life! Ughhhh I'm so jealous! When I was preparing to go abroad for the semester I had no idea what to get. So here are a few things that you can ask the rents to get you for Xmas that are pretty much a necessity for anyone studying abroad! (Mainly for girls but also some guys!!!)

1. Credit card with no international fees

International fees, well...suck.

2. A new camera

When you're abroad, you want to capture every single moment and the best way to do so is with a quality camera.

3. Jean jacket

Ask any girl that has ever been abroad and they will tell you that a jean jacket is the greatest staple piece.

4. Leather jacket

Another great staple piece! Especially for going out at night.

5. A carry-on that fits European restrictions

This one's a biggie! Carry-on sizes in Europe are waaaaaay smaller than here in America, so do yourself a favor a get one of these or you'll be paying extra fees.

6. Comfy yet cute shoes

You will be walking everywhere......like miles on miles each day. So if you want to be cute, make sure they're comfy. (I highly recommend Converse!)

7. Fun sunglasses

Dip into the European style early and get some fun European glasses.

8. Rain jacket

Lots of jackets but this one is the most essential since you will be outside walking everywhere, rain or shine.

9. Floppy hat

Again dip into the European style....plus it's super trendy and Instagram-worthy!

10. Cross-body purse

In Europe, there are many people who pick more pockets so the best way to avoid them is to have a cross-body bag that zips up so you can keep it close to your side.

11. Going out booties

Gotta look your best when you're tearing up your new town for the next 4-5 months.

Now go and have the most incredible journey of your life!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
