I AM A PROUD HISPANIC MILLENNIAL FEMALE THAT IS A SUPPORTER OF THE GOP!

I think that Republicans get a bad reputation. Obviously, Trump tweeting every five seconds doesn't help our case (no offense t-man). The media portrays us to be monsters and greedy capitalists. Other than that being wrong in so many ways, there are things that Republicans fight for because we know it has worked in the past and we don't want to see the United States collapse from socialism or communism.

Here is a list of reasons why I choose to be a Republican in the world full of Democrats

1. I am a born and raised Catholic

I am proud that I am part of a religion that believes that every child in the eyes of God can do bigger and better things in the world.

2. No, my parents didn't force me

There is a big misconception about Republicans. A lot of people believe that millennials are Republican because their parents only showed them the Republican viewpoints. In reality, yes my parents did raise me in Republican values but they also did let me experiment with the Democrat party. I was once a Democrat (all of my Republican friends can shame me for five seconds). I did believe that everything was wrong because it felt wrong. It wasn't until I was in high school that I found out that I was truly a Republican, that facts don't care about your feelings.

3. I believe in facts not feelings

Do I really have to explain this?

4. We had Ronald Reagan

This beautiful man turned out to become one of the most productive presidents America has ever had. He helped end the Cold War, cut tax rates in America, decreased unemployment and inflation and fought against the war on drugs. He treated his wife Nancy like she was the Queen of the Universe. #goals.

He is the true definition of the "All-American Boy".

5. I believe in smaller government

If you want more information look up Ron Swanson government quotes on google.

6. I believe in traditional ways

Two political parties. Babies form at conception. Two genders, etc.

7. Not all Republicans are old white men...

I had the pleasure to actually meet three of the women to the right at a conference. Being able to see that more culture and women are joining the Republican party is a beautiful thing! We need to stop the stereotype that the Republican party is only old white men.

8. I love the 2nd Amendment

Pretty self-explanatory.

I love my party and I love the U.S.A.

God Bless y'all.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
