Here are six reasons why Cheerios will forever be my all-time favorite food.
1. They are heart healthy!
This is no secret. Cheerios have always been advertised as heart healthy. This is because they are made with 100% oats. (I also feel fairly confident that they are made with 100% love, too, but that's just a feeling.) Being heart healthy is super important to me because high cholesterol runs in my family, and I already have been told that I have high cholesterol at a young age.
2. They are versatile.
I think I made it pretty clear that original cheerios are by far my favorite. However, there are so many other great options, too (just not as great). There are honey nut, frosted, chocolate, multi-grain, peanut butter, and more! Additionally, you can do so much with them. You can add strawberries or other fruit, any type of milk, peanut butter, yogurt, and other things!
3. They are timeless.
Cheerios are a cereal we find delectable starting at a very young age but can continue to enjoy for the rest of our lives. And while I enjoy them just about every day, they still sometimes remind me of being a little kid.
4. They remind me of my dog.
One of my most favorite parts of my morning routine at home is getting my bowl of cheerios, but first putting some in my dog's bowl because he loves them just as much as me. When I eat them at school, I think of him.
5. They are gluten free.
While I am not on a gluten free diet, I have a ton of family and friends who are, and I also love to take advantage of gluten free opportunities. Knowing that my favorite food is something just about everyone can enjoy makes my heart happy. Especially because I too have a lot of dietary restrictions, and I don't know what I would do if I couldn't eat Cheerios.
6. They quite simply slap!
I don't think I have ever heard someone say they don't like Cheerios. They are a universally favored food, light and airy, and perfect for every occasion in my humble opinion.
