As we head into spring semester the time to start discussing all those Spring Break ideas is now more pressing than ever. From Cancun to Canada, the options are endless.

But if you're anything like me, or most other college students, then a $1000 skiing trip in Vancouver or an unlimited drinking pass at those Caribbean resorts may not be the most financially viable options around.

But do not fear! I am here to give you all the pointers you need to have a killer spring break without killing your budget.

1. WWOOFing (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms)

If you haven't heard of this or you have an abnormal fear of dogs then do not worry, this is nothing more than an opportunity to work and live on Organic Farms all over the world, for free!

All you have to do is work around 4-6 hours a day in a variety of worldly places in return for food, accommodation and an experience you will never forget.

Your only cost for a week in an exotic place will be your travel and insurance expenses. But do not worry more about cheap travel is coming.

2. Workaways (workaway.info)

This one is similar to WWOOFing, however, it is not restricted to working on an organic farm. Opportunities range from working in a resort in Thailand for a week to teaching someone English while they are running their cafe in the south of France.

The other difference is that the rewards in exchange for your work are not restricted to food and accommodation. Although most Workaways come with both, some will throw in a bit of pocket money or free drinks at the local bars!

3. Hostels

Many people's first thoughts of hostels are ones of dingy, dark and overcrowded places. However, you will find that sharing a room with nine other people is one of the greatest ways of meeting amazing lifelong friends from all over the globe!

Hostels are the perfect way to shell out no more than $15 a night (in places such as Poland or Scotland!) so that you can save your cash for the important things: burgers and beers. Not only is it cheap, it is priceless.

All of the hostels I've had the chance to stay in, from Australia to Budapest, have offered great things to get involved in like bar crawls, comedy shows and underground caving. In fact, I'm still talking to friends I've made in hostels from all over the globe and reminiscing on those moments we shared together.

The easiest way to find the best hostels is to use a website such as hostelworld.com and broaden your search outside the continental United States. Make sure not to worry about those two-star ratings and look closer at the customer ratings instead, you can't go wrong with a two-star hostel that has an 80% customer rating.

4. Hitlist

I promised you cheap travel, and the app, Hitlist, is here to make sure that your Instagrams feature famous landmarks from more than just North America. We all have smartphones so pull it out now and let Hitlist download while you keep reading!

This app makes use of Skyscanner to find you the cheapest flights all over the world from your local airport. If you thought it was impossible to get return flights to London for less than $400 then you were wrong.

Although you can filter your options using dates and destinations, let your imagination roam free and don't select any filters at all. Hitlist will show you the cheapest destinations at the best prices, so who knows where you will end up!

Now start planning your perfect Spring Break and stop worrying about skipping that cup of coffee now that you don't have to waste your money on a $200 a night resort in the Caribbean!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
