These 7 beauty hacks will have your skin and hair feeling fresh and ready for the summer!

1. Coconut oil

This stuff works for EVERYTHING. Dry hair? Coconut oil overnight. Dry Skin? Coconut oil. Makeup remover? Coconut oil. Out of shaving cream? You guessed it, coconut oil.

2. The key to teeth whitening is in your kitchen

I get asked ALL the time how I keep my teeth so white. I do not use white strips or that weird black charcoal crap. The secret to white teeth is baking soda. Mix a decent amount with your toothpaste and brush your teeth. Do this three times a week and you will be amazed how white your teeth are, and for less than $2.

3. Dry shampoo is literally the best invention since sliced bread

Plus, who doesn't love a product that helps you sleep in longer?!

4. A good primer will change your life.

I am a firm believer that the foundation of a great makeup bag is based off three staple items: a good mascara, foundation, and primer. Primer shrinks your pores and gives your foundation something to bond with. It helps your skin glow and makes your makeup last all day. I use ELF glow primer ($5 at drugstores) and it works great.

5. Moisturizer is the key to keeping wrinkles away.

Doesn't matter what brand you use, Retinol or not (but if given the choice, I always pick Retinol), moisturize your skin! Keeping your skin moisturized helps prevent the onset of wrinkles and aging - and my momma is proof of that! I use a moisturizer in the morning and before bed!

6. Rose water

This is a product that is rapidly gaining popularity. It is a spray moisturizer full of vitamins and minerals for your skin. It is super gentle, so it is a great option for women with sensitive skin. PLUS, you can spray it on your face after you apply your makeup for a "dewy" look.

7. Baby wipes!

Baby wipes are the super cheap alternative to facial cleansing cloths and work great for taking off makeup, specifically mascara. Plus, it saves you from staining every washcloth you own.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
