Another year has gone by

And you’re still by my side

My life has changed for the better ever since I met you

December is not as cold as I remember

And it’s because you’re here

I don’t think my tears will freeze this year and I’ll know it's cause you’re standing here

I think I can finally handle the bitter winter wind on my skin a little better than I used to

I think I can finally handle the cold inside my bones

I’m no longer a burnt out candle

You have melted the icicles off my frostbitten heart

I question why

But I thank God you’ve given me your time.

I never liked change

But you’ve changed me for the best

And I wouldn’t ever change that
