The aspect that makes this world so interesting to live in is that fact that no two people are exactly alike. Beauty and fascination arise from knowing that the features that compose every individual are distinct from one another.

Differences in physical features, as well as mentality, may result in feelings of weakness, vulnerability, and jealousy. Rather than spending time comparing yourself to others and conjuring a set of negative feelings, take time to notice the ways in which you are different from other people and then appreciate how unique the human race truly is.

If all people were the exact same, then the world would be an incredibly boring place.

If all people were the exact same, then the world would lack all aspects of creativity.

If all people were the exact same, then the would lose all elements of perspective.

Clearly, it is a positive thing that people are so different. As a result, we should focus more on celebrating our differences in place of condemning one another for them.

Moreover, we should strive to live the life that we feel most comfortable pursuing. Carrying out the decisions that we want based on personal values, interests, and goals with serve as the basis for creating individuality.

Quit wasting your time trying to be like somebody else. Live the life that you want based on your values, interests, and goals instead of fantasizing about the life that somebody else is living. While it is okay to be inspired by the actions of another person, it is important to learn how to develop confidence in personal decision-making skills. Be confident in carrying out your decisions even when you cannot be confident in the consequences they will fortify.

I challenge you to embrace your individuality. Pursue whatever passions inspire you, and feel comfortable changing them if the time comes when you no longer feel excited about the pursuit of such intentions. Notice your imperfections and understand that, without them, you would no longer be who you were mean to be. Realize when you make mistakes and then be sure to take a moment to learn from those experiences.

And no matter what: Be your own person.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
