On August 28, 2020, the film industry lost a spectacular performer, while the world lost a wonderful human being. At the age of 43, Chadwick Boseman unfortunately passed away after battling colon cancer for the past four years.

In 2016, Boseman was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer, yet brought many memorable characters to the big screen. Several of these historic films were filmed when Boseman was enduring numerous surgeries and chemotherapy.

Like the true fighter he was, Boseman didn't reveal his personal health concerns to the public and managed to become a role model for all ages. In honor of Chadwick Boseman, here are five iconic roles he brought to life that defined his impeccable character.

Perhaps one of the greatest roles he ever took on, Boseman put on the number 42 jersey and took on the challenging role of Robinson. He did an excellent job radiating the passion Robinson had for baseball, and the frustration he suffered breaking the baseball colored line.

1. King T'Challa - "Black Panther"

Last, but certainly not least, is the greatest role Boseman had the chance of portraying. Boseman brought the character of T'Challa/Black Panther from the comic books to the big screen, becoming an inspiration to everyone all over the world. With a powerhouse cast by his side, Boseman surely made a mark in cinematic history.

His portrayal of T'Challa proved that even the greatest of heroes, fall ill to their failures, and must rise above them to correct the mistakes of the past generations. He will forever remain a superhero in life and death. Wakanda Forever.

Chadwick Boseman defined what it truly meant to be a great actor. With his exceptional talent and renowned skills, he was able to embody any character placed in front of him, and he surely wasn't one to shy away from a challenging role. He pushed the boundaries and thought outside the box to transform into characters that defined history. Which in turn, made him into the superhero we all want to be. Long live the King.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
