Every sorority and fraternity know what famous alumni came from their organization.  

But there is a good bunch you probably didn’t know about.

Jim Parsons 

We all know Parsons who plays Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory. Bet you didn’t know he was a Pi Kappa Alpha from The University of Houston

Laura Bush

Former First Lady along with her daughters Jenna and Barbara were also members of Kappa Alpha Theta

Lucy Liu

Emmy Award Winning Actress and known for great films such as Charlie’s Angels and Chicago was a Chi Omega at University of Michigan

Burt Reynolds

He’s been seen in Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, Boogie Nights and is a member of Phi Delta Theta.

Harper Lee

Known for her Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel To Kill A Mocking Bird. Lee was a member of Chi Omega at The University of Alabama

Sabrina Bryan

Kudos to Delta Gamma for having a Cheetah Girl as one of their sisters. It’s a pretty cool fact.

If you love the famous Don Draper from Mad Men, you’ll also love to know he was a Sigma Nu from University of Missouri

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
