The debate between cats and dogs has been around for way too long. Let's all be honest with ourselves, cats are a lot better.

1. The solution to any problem is probably food.

Is your cat being a little moody or meowing a lot? Give it some food and I guarantee they'll be satisfied.

2. They're the best cuddle buddies.

If you've never experienced a cuddle sesh with a cat, you're really missing out. As long as you keep petting them, they'll be your cuddle buddy for days.

3. They're just as sassy as you.

Whats better than having a pet with the same level of sass as you?? Nothing.

4. They'll sit there with their tongues out and it's the cutest.

Do they even notice their tongue is sticking out?? I freak out every time my cat does this because it's just so adorable.

5. A paper bag can be their favorite toy in the world.

Out of all the toys and treats I've ever gotten for my cat, a Publix paper bag is her favorite thing ever. Whether she's rubbing her face against it, crawling in it, or laying on top of it, it always makes her happy.

6. They won't judge you for sleeping all day

A cat would never judge you for sleeping all day. They'd be right next to you and perfectly happy.

7. Cats are quiet.

You would never be woken up or scared by random barking at nothing with a cat. They won't even move when the doorbell rings.

8. Purring is the best.

I don't know how they do it, but purring is one of the best things about a cat. It just shows you how much they love and appreciate you.

9. You'll have a pest-free house.

I've gotten "gifts" of anything from lizards to rodents from my cat. It's gross but it's the thought that counts.

10. They clean themselves.

Cats really are the easiest pet, they literally clean themselves and are never dirty. Less work for you, more time for cuddles.

11. They also LOVE any kind of container.

Here's another example of how low maintenance cats are. My cat is entertained for days with any type of object that she can sit in or on.

12. You don't have to take them outside.

All of you dog lovers out there have definitely been forced to take your dog outside in some type of hurricane, snow storm, etc, while me, my cat, and her litter box were cozy inside.

13. Cats are cheaper.

Cats eat less and they don't need expensive toys and treats to be perfectly happy. win win

14. They're just overall way cuter.

This is my cat. She's the cutest animal ever and if you disagree, you're wrong.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
