I recently saw "Captain America: Civil War" in theaters. Admittedly it was the first superhero movie I've ever seen besides "Deadpool." However I think we all can agree that "Deadpool" while amazing, is far from a superhero. So while I haven't seen all of the many, many movies that "Iroman" and "Captain America" are in, I'm still entitled to an opinion. While I didn't choose a side before I saw the movie, like I'm sure many of you did, I did pick a side. After thinking long and hard after the movie, I'm almost positive that Captain America is waaaaay better than Ironman. Before you try to change my mind, hear my out! And no this is not just because Captain America is super hot, though that is a pretty valid point.
I'll try my best not to spoil any of the movie for those of you who haven't seen it yet while I explain my side. Captain America is better than Ironman because he doesn't need a suit to help him out. While he does have his shield he is still able to fight, and do alright, without the shield. Outside of his suit Ironman is just Tony Stark, a super genius. His smarts does come in handy in designing his suit, that's true. Yes his smarts may help him develop a strong fighting pattern, that's also true. But if Stark isn't in his suit all he has are his fists. Captain America uses his fists but his are much more powerful whether he is in or out of his suit. While Stark does pack a pretty hard punch, it doesn't compare to Captain America's at all.
Yeah Captain America took steroids, or something along those lines as told to me by my boyfriend, but he was volunteering for a trial. One can say that Captain America making use of his bad decision is like Stark making use of his brain. Wouldn't you think that every time Ironman uses his inheritance to build something for his suit he feels a pang of guilt for hating his father? Or creating that business that made weapons that got into the wrong hands? Ironman's brain got him into some trouble every now and then too so when you look at it that way, Captain Americas past use of steroids doesn't make him such a bad guy either.
Ultimately, I believe Captain America is better because he is physically stronger. He doesn't need a suit to help him nail the bad guy. He uses his fists and a shield and that's just enough for him. I think both men have great qualities that make them hard to choose between. But I think his strength combined with his leadership skills, and his looks a little bit too, make Captain America better than Ironman. I hate conflict though so maybe these two should just make up and be BFFs again. Even though one may be better than the other if they come together again, they'll be a whole lot stronger.
