10 Scented Candles Every Girl Will Light This Christmas Season

As a college girl obsessed with Christmas and aesthetic, you know that I'm obsessed with candles. It's practically my duty to adore them. Also, since it's November, which means its officially Christmas season (I will fight you on it), then that means it is prime candle season.

Here are 10 candles that every girl across the nation will be lighting up this Christmas season:

1. Vanilla Bean Noel

Vanilla Bean Noel 3-Wick Candle | Bath & Body Works

Probably one of the most popular candle scents of all time, and for good reason. It smells lovely and it's so sweet-scented, too, It's no wonder that "Bath and Body Works" keeps it around for so long.

2. Fresh Balsam

A balsam and pine candle or balsam and cedar one can go in place of this one.

3. Christmas Cookie

I have this lit right next to me as I write this article. My apartment smells like the oven is about to pop out a fresh batch of sugar cookies. I'm actually in heaven.

4. Hot Apple Cider

SONOMA Goods for Life™ Hot Apple Cider 14-oz. Candle Jar

TBH I hate this candle. Although, almost everyone I know seems to love it... not sure why.

5. Sparkling Cinnamon

Yankee Candle Sparkling Cinnamon 7-oz. Collector’s Edition Candle Jar

Funny, I'm actually not too big of a cinnamon eater... yet I love the smell of it. My family used to eat cinnamon rolls during the holiday season, so every time I smell a cinnamon candle it brings back all of those memories from my childhood.

6. Champagne Toast

I gave this candle to my sister-in-law as a Christmas gift a couple years ago. I don't know if she ever used it but I was IN LOVE with this scent and will be buying it for myself this year. I'm so excited because it's one of my favorite scents of all time.

7. Peppermint Marshmallow

I don't regret a majority of these candles being from "Bath & Body Works." They are the champion of home fragrance and all the other punks just have to learn to live with it.

8. Salted Caramel

It's not just a Starbucks latte, you guys!

9. 'Tis the Season

Tis The Season 3-Wick Candle | Bath & Body Works

Appropriately named, this candle has red apple, cinnamon and cedarwood notes to help give the candle its delicious fragrance.

10. Twisted Peppermint

This one is one of those candles that I personally have to be in the mood for. It can be pretty strong to me sometimes, but if a candle has any words in the title related to winter, Christmas or the holiday season... it's guaranteed to be lit up over the next couple months.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
