Over there, is a star
A star as bright as the sun in a sea of darkness,
Lighting up the world
Wherever it moves, my eyes follow it,
And I can not tear my gaze away from the miracle that is the star
I am on the other side of the galaxy,
Another star that doesn't shine as bright as the other one
I am surrounded by stars who do not shine as bright as the other star
The miracle burns brighter than the rest of us
Next to the brighter star is another star
A star that shines brighter than me
I am envious of that star,
Envious of how close that star is to the miracle
Envious of how brightly their light shines
I want to be that close to the star that fills the darkness,
I want to burn as brightly as the other star,
But I am not able to
I am stuck on my side of the galaxy,
The fire coming from me, slowly shrinking,
Until the only thing left is black nothingness
