Grand Opening Of Buffalo Wild Wings In Oneonta, N.Y.

Buffalo Wild Wings, a.k.a. B-Dubs and BWW, is opening in Oneonta on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m.! It's located on Southside near the intersection of Les Foster Highway and state Route 23.

Back in 2014, Oneonta residents thought Panera Bread was the best thing to happen to our small town, but that grand opening is going to be nothing compared to BWW's. BWW is preparing for a mob of people to swarm the doors on opening day. Especially since the first 100 customers receive free wings for a year (conditions may apply)!

Rumors about a BWW coming to Oneonta have been circulating for a while. Oneonta residents have been anticipating the grand opening for months but of course, building doesn't always go smoothly and most stores have a hard time sticking to schedule. To address this issue, BWW managers say, "Good things come to those who wait," and "Thank you all for your patience" in the Buffalo Wild Wings- Oneonta Facebook page, which has over 1,200 likes already.

Why are Oneonta residents ready to skip classes and work for wings? According to a new BWW server, Courtney Ward, "It's not like any other restaurant in Oneonta! It's a brand new and upbeat experience that you and your friends and family can enjoy." She swears, "the whole atmosphere is contagious. You can feel the high energy as soon as you walk in." Another BWW employee, Sari Miller who will be a hostess and cashier, also says we should be "excited for the fun atmosphere and all the different drinks and signature sauces" they have to offer. Courtney and Sari are two of nearly 175 to be hired at Oneonta's BWW.From my experience at the BWW back home, this is the perfect restaurant for a college town like Oneonta. It's not only a sports bar with great food, but it'll be the number one hang out spot. Plus, college students can't pass up the wing night deals! Tuesday nights are 65 cents for traditional wings and Thursday nights are 65 cents for boneless wings (my personal favorite). I'd also like to add that the fried pickles are delicious and Courtney agrees. Even if you aren't a wing lover, there are options for you like burgers and sandwiches. "You're going to love the employees there almost as much as you'll love the food," says Courtney.

Doesn't every college student enjoy a good food challenge? Even if you don't participate, watching your friend do it is prime entertainment. BWW has their famous Blazin' Challenge. The challenge consists of consuming 12 traditional wings drenched in Blazin' sauce (BWW's hottest) in six minutes or less. During the challenge, the participant cannot have drinks or other food items like ranch or bleu cheese, and if he or she vomits, they are disqualified. It may sound torturous but never doubt college students.

BWW's grand opening is a big deal, here in Oneonta. It's probably the most highly anticipated event this year. Sari says, training has "been long but we know we will be prepared for opening day." Ready to watch all your favorite sports teams on 56 wide screen TV's while stuffing your face with wings? Bring on the food baby and get pumped for opening day on Nov. 18!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
