With the beauty of Spring right around the corner here are a few budget-friendly things to fill your days with. Welcome the warm weather with some fun daytime activities that won't break the bank!

1. Visit Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market

While this area of Boston is beautiful year round, as the weather starts to warm up, the walking becomes much more enjoyable. Spend a Spring afternoon shopping around and eating delicious desserts and treats.

2. See all of the street art

The city of Boston is covered in beautiful and expressive art. From Modica Way to the painted light boxes scattered around the city, taking time to take in the beauty around the city is a great spring activity.

3. Go for a run or walk around the Charles River

The beautiful Charles River is an even more spectacular sight as the weather starts to warm. Take an afternoon to walk down some of the paths and be sure to appreciate the sights around you.

4. Browse around Newbury Street

While actually shopping on Newbury Street can get very expensive very quickly, try spending an afternoon browsing the windows. Grab a friend and experience one of the most interesting spaces in Boston.

5. Walk through the Public Gardens

The Spring is the perfect time to see the beauty that is found within Boston's public garden. Be sure to bring a camera to capture all of the flora and fauna around you.

6. Visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

This beautiful museum within the Fenway neighborhood boasts beautiful artwork as well as stellar outdoor garden exhibits. This is the perfect location to relax and unwind.

7. Ride a Swan Boat

For a small bit of change, you can also enjoy a fun and exciting ride on a Boston Swan boat. This budget friendly activity is great for warm days.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
