I don't know about you, but I like to reward myself with chocolate for doing my homework. Finals are just about over, and it's time to treat yo' self! Here are my two favorite brownie recipes, with a bonus iced coffee life hack.
OK, not really a life hack. But it is delicious if you're a coffee lover like me.
Cookie/Reese's Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 box of fudge brownie mix
- 2/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 egg
- 15 Reese's cups
- 1 large roll of chocolate chip cookie dough
Instructions:
Spray a full-size pan with some Pam so the brownies don't stick. Spread the entire roll of cookie dough across the bottom of the pan, place 15 Reese's cups (three rows of five) on top of the cookie dough, pour brownie mixture on top. Cook in 350 degrees. I'm not really one to set a timer, I just watch and use a toothpick to determine when they're done!
S'mores Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 box of fudge brownie mix
- 2/3 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- Graham crackers
- Flat marshmallows (made for s'mores)
- About four Hershey's bars or the equivalent in mini Hershey's
Instructions:
Spray a full-size pan with Pam. Pour most of the brownie mixture in the pan with a little left over. Lay graham crackers on top of brownie mixture, then place Hershey's on top of the graham crackers. Place marshmallows on top of the Hershey's and pour the remaining brownie mixture on top. Cook in 350 degrees. Again, I don't use a timer, I just eyeball and use a toothpick.
Bonus Iced Coffee Mixture
Fill a cup of ice 3/4 of the way with International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee. Fill the remaining 1/4 with International Delight Hershey Caramel creamer.
You're welcome.
Enjoy the yumz and happy summer!
