A Letter To My Brother Graduating

Dear Brother,

Fraternity brothers are the men you can turn to in your time of need. Although they are not related to you, and you have only known them for a short time, they can become some of your closest friends. Personally, there is one brother who always stands out to me. He is the true definition of what a brother is supposed to be. He is there to help everyone; regardless of his current situation. Although your time at our school is coming to an end; we will have memories that last a lifetime.

I want to start out by saying thank you. Thank you for always accepting us regardless of our actions. Thank you for welcoming us into the chapter and taking each of us under your wing. Thank you for striving to be a great example to those of us who did not have any idea of what we were doing. Thank you for everything that you do.

You are always working. Working to better yourself, others, and the chapter. You put your all into everything that you do. Even when you are tired, you continue pushing forward. You have a passion for everything, and will continue working until you reach your goal. Also, thank you for being over-passionate at times. You take everything to the next level. Including watching football in the parlor and screaming at the top of your lungs.

Or, playing video games in your room and getting angry or excited (I still have not figured it out). Both of these situations prove how much you care about everything in your life.

You are the person who can make the whole chapter laugh during serious situations. You can bring a smile to everyone you meet. When one of us is able to get you back with one of your own jokes, everyone takes notice (Deez).

Your time at our school and with our chapter is almost over. However, you will always be my brother. You have helped bring this chapter come so far; and will continue helping us in the future. You have overcome so much, and will continue growing as a person. I wish you the best in your future, and hope to see you accomplish all of your goals. Including marrying the girl of your dreams. I understand your true potential, and cannot wait to see where you are in twenty years.

Carl, thank - you for being you!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
